Those five years of cooperation with Uli Greb were characterised by mutual trust and appreciation enabling us to advance the festival and the festival hall to today's level of excellency. One major change was that Uli Greb retreated from his position as Chief Executive Officer for Moers Kultur Gmb H at the end of last year. After the new Mayor took office in Moers, there has been some changes of people which unfortunately had an immediate effect on the festival as well.I have come to the conclusion that the vast change of working conditions in Moers since the start of 2016 no longer offer a reliable perspective to continue my work for the festival.I am not in the position to agree to any further compromises apart from those already made. I have offered to hand over my detailed concept for the 2017 festival edition, and help to search for my successor.

It was a great honour and pleasure to be responsible for the artistic side of this – in my opinion – most important music festival in the world during the past eleven years.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who have actively supported me until the end.
